Parents, there are new required immunizations effective August 1, 2009 for all students who are entering the 7th grade for the school year 2009/2010. The following are required in order for your child to attend the public school system. These are Tdap, 2nd dose of Varicella, and Menigoccal (Menigitis).  I advise parents to make arrangments as soon as possible due to the fact that vaccines/offices may become difficult to obtain because all districts require these as well.  I encourage all students who are going to High School next year to receive these immunizations also, because they will be required for college.  You can get these at your private physicians office or Hardin County Health Department on Monday & Tuesday, 8:00am to 4:00pm, Wednesday & Thursday, 8:00am to 5:00pm, Friday, 8:00am to 11:00am.  They have lunch between 11:00pm to 1:00pm, please call before going to make certain vaccines are available (409) 246-5188.  You can also go to the Beaumont Health Department (409)832-4000.  Any questions please feel free to call me at (409)923-7527 or my email is below.  Thank you for your assistance with obtaining these immunizations.
